Dr Helen Pullisaar

Helen Pullisaar graduated with a degree in Dentistry (2004) and completed her specialty training in Periodontology (2007) at the University of Tartu, Estonia. In 2015, she earned her PhD in Biomaterials at the University of Oslo, Norway, followed by specialist training in Orthodontics at Aarhus University, Denmark, in 2017.

She served as President of the European Postgraduate Students Orthodontic Society in 2017. She is currently an Associate Professor of Orthodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Oslo, and has served as Head of the Department of Orthodontics since 2025.

Her professional activities encompass clinical orthodontics, undergraduate and postgraduate education, and research. Her main research interests include dental agenesis, orthodontic management of dental trauma, long-term outcomes of orthodontic treatment, and rare congenital conditions.

In 2021, she received the Norwegian Dental Association's Research and Teaching Award.
